School Admissions Process

We are pleased that you are interested in applying to Sri Sathya Sai Gurukula Vidya Niketan. In brief, the application to the school includes a parent interview and school administration and teacher evaluations. We recommend that you and your family pay us a brief visit, meet a member of our admission staff who will provide a school tour, and meet the Principal.

Rules and Regulations

  • Here is a list of rules and regulations of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, including information about school timings, the school diary, attendance and leaves.

School Uniform

  • Children should be sent in neat and proper uniform. The details of the school uniform are as given below . The school uniform will be available in the Hostel Stores.

School Timings

  • • The school timing is from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm for Primary classes, and 9:00 am to 4:30 pm for High School. The timings include study hours. All students must be present in the school by 8:45 am. The main gates of the school will be closed by 8:45 am. Late comers will not be allowed to the classes.

School Diary

  • 1. Every student must have his/her own diary, and bring it to school daily.
  • 2. In case a student loses a diary, he/she should buy a new diary from the school office, by paying Rs. 50.

Absence And Leave

  • No student shall absent himself/herself from the school without a leave application from the parent/guardian.
  • For long absences, prior permission is needed. Any student who remains absent for 15 consecutive days without leave will have his/her name struck off from the rolls without intimation.
  • Every student must produce a medical certificate in case he/she is absent for a Test, Assignment or Terminal Examination.
  • Students are strictly forbidden from leaving the school premises during school hours without permission.

For Parents

  • • Parents can contact the Head-Master / Primary In-Charge Head- Master any time during the working hours, for any grievance or information, between 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
  • • Parents are not allowed to meet teachers directly. They can do so only after obtaining permission from the Head- Master.
  • • Parents can meet teachers on the Parents’ Visiting Day, which is held on the second Sunday of every month, between 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
  • • Parents are as responsible for the progress of their children as the teachers are. They are, hence, requested to enforce regularity and discipline in their wards’ conduct, help them prepare for their lessons and classwork, and help them do their homework regularly.
  • • Parents are required to check the school diary of their ward and sign it everyday.
  • • Parents must ensure that student do not bring cell-phones, cameras or any other gadgets to school.

Progress Reports

  • Progress reports are issued at the end of each series of Tests and Terminal Examinations.
  • Parents must make a careful study of their child’s report when sent to them, and preserve it.


  • Attendance is marked every day in the morning and afternoon session, immediately after the second bell, and before teaching starts.
  • Please note that any student who is not present when attendance is being taken loses attendance for the session. Thus, students who come late habitually may be detained for want of attendance.
  • Students must maintain 85% attendance in Primary School and 90% attendance in High School, in order to qualify for promotion to higher class.

'Start the day with prayer and end the day with prayer'

  • Everything goes correctly if we start the day well with a prayer. Our school assembly is a participation of all the students. Students show much interest and wait eagerly to get a chance in participation.

    • A separate news for our school goes as specifying the best boys of Suprabhatam, Bhajan & Yoga. To encourage the students , daily a gift for the best boy is being given after Bhajan.
    • It also includes the news of the day before like Little Champs, Name of the Birthday boy and about their celebrations.
    • 2 General Knowledge Questions daily.

  • 2 min talk
    • In the present world communication skills are more important. In order to develop this skill in our students daily students of higher classes give a 2 min talk on any topic in general.
    • One has to improve their vocabulary. So every day we give two meanings where the students show interest in answering.
    • We take daily one saying of Swami as ‘Thought for the Day’.
    • Greetings for the birthday boys.
    • Important announcements and instructions if any will be given by Principal or Vice Principal.
